all you longboarders

Postby driftwood » Sun Jul 25, 2010 5:25 pm

well lads/lassies, i'm trying to buy a decent longboard that will rip in the big and the mush. i'm surfing shortboards and fish for years 6'-7', but have very little longboard experience, obviously i want something that can turn sharp but also fast and manoeverable, be able to take it into overhead but also good for the small days too, cost would not be an issue if its the right board, i'm willing to pay for quality, most info i find on the net is geared towards fatter/beginner types (no offence meant) by the way i'm 11 stone and 5'7" fairly fit any brand names/advise appreciated, thanks :P

Try this ad on longboardireland. A fireball could be what you are looking for

Im a big fan of the fireball, I think mine is into her 6th year and has (just about) survived anything I could throw at it.

I do want to have a crack off this though....

You should give Conor at Waxon Surfboards in Sligo a bell, he has some lovely boards. He has one which he calls the Slipper, which is a 6'10 that acts like a longboard, you can even nose ride it. That's my next board, as I sold my 9"2 as I was fed up tying it to the car roof!
